How to Practice Violin Productively: Insights from Mark Komissarov, descendant of Auer, Joachim, & Corelli

How to practice violin productively, and is it even necessary, since you hear just one advice anyway, "practice, practice, practice"?

The thing is, you heard fantastic, usually old-school violin soloists, especially among professors, who seem not to have plenty of time to practice, yet they play perfectly well, even pieces they haven't practiced for 20, 30, 50 years? How do they do it without following the wisdom of the crowds?

I am not suggesting that you do not retain the results. Of course you do! But maybe you heard of other violinists who find it challenging to retain the results of their practice. This may even lead to having the feeling it is not easy to combine their profession with private life.
To help this violinists, I want to share three tips for ultra-productive violin practice that I've learned from one of the finest violinists I have ever met. A direct descendant of the celebrated Leopold Auer, Joachim, and Archangelo Corelli.

This technique is even not unique to music. There is one book that I loved and you might love too, regardless whether you play as a soloist or a leader, or you create soloists and leaders. It is The Little Book of Talent, 52 Tips for Improving Skills, by Daniel Coyle.
