Make a Violoncello da Spalla
This course will not to give you 20 years of experience in one afternoon. But it will elevate your starting point.D.Badiarov
Of course, any violinist can make a violoncello da spalla. But, this course is primarily for instrument makers.
I played what looks like a pivotal role in the revival of the Violoncello da Spalla since 2003—without any intention whatsoever.
Crafting for top violinists and conductors such as Sigiswald Kuijken, Ryo Terakado, and Sergey Malov, it seems I might have contributed to its global recognition.
String players want it.
Audiences love it.
Magazines, TV speak about it and about these other people.
But...
1. Luthiers don't have 6 month to spend on criss crossing Europe doing the research.
2. Musicians want something they know will work, not be test subjects.
3. The measurements are not a secret. But at the same time hard to come by.
This is why I created this new training course on how to make a spalla.
"Good for you!" you might be thinking, "Why share your knowledge?"
Fair question!
More than 10 years ago I had the best event in my life: I nearly died. I was not expected to walk or talk even after recovery. But God decided otherwise. He taught me something I kind of always knew and never acted upon: the limited time we have to live a meaningful, beautiful life.
I understood that this knowledge belongs in YOUR mind and heart rather than in the grave.
This course will not to give you 20 years of experience in one afternoon. But it will elevate your starting point.
I am eager to see the new heights YOU will take this knowledge to next. We are Sound Alchemists. We do things like this.
