Beyond The String Skills: It Isn't Music
Music is about connecting your audience to that place we all, as humans, have an innate longing for.

It’s not the music that matters. Nobody needs even more music or more skilled musicians when the level of technical proficiency has become so commonplace. What does matter is bringing something different to the table in a meaningful way.
You might disagree with everything I’ve said so far. You might ask: what do concertgoers want, if not music? And what do employers need, if not more skilled musicians? Let me illustrate my point.
In the Middle Ages, alchemists tried to turn lead into gold. In a way, the string players of today are like the alchemists of the past. They work with pretty rough material—decibels and frequencies. So, what is important is not the job they do, but the transformation they create on stage when their job is done.
The metaphorical “gold” they produce is an inspired audience, one that is connected to a more harmonious, spiritual, loving, and noble place.
Instrument makers of the past were thinking along the same lines.
For at least two millennia, they distilled the harmony of the universe into tangible, physical shapes that resonated with the human voice.
These aren't just fluffy words without meaning. There are dozens of ancient writings on how exactly they did that, and 36 years of personal time dedicated to connecting that lost spirituality in instrument making with musicians who can see that everything is a design, rather than a result of thoughtless Darwinian evolution.
And this is the difference Badiarov Violins brings to the table.
Because it is not about violins. It is about connecting string players with a place for which they have an innate longing for.
As a string player, it’s not about the music either.
It’s not about technique.
It’s about transforming your audience.
Music is about connecting your audience to that place we all, as humans, have an innate longing for.
And, my dear friend, when you do that, your audience has no choice but to share your music.
