Did you know violin is not a randomly shaped wooden box?
He says, "Musicians Are The Best Masters Of These Proportions".
And his colleague, more than thousands of years earlier: "These are the laws used by the skilled workmen who fashion musical instruments…"
How would you feel if you discovered you are literally holding 1000nds of European culture
in your hands?
Have you ever thought, notes do not make music, it's something between the notes?
Have you ever thought playing music pieces does not make one a musician?
And a wooden box does not make a violin?
It's something ways deeper, would you agree?
P.S. I am excited to be at the Authentic Instrument Makers Academy event on Lanzarote in April-May to share my WHY and help more instrument makers on their journey of finding their WHY too. Stay in tune to learn more.
